River City Folk Monday uplinks


River City Folk is now self distributed, through PRX and other sources, to around 150 radio stations nation wide. Radio Stations that carry River City Folk programming usually broadcast these programs 3-4 days before or 7- 10 days after the date listed. Please check with your local radio station for an exact time and date.
River City Folk is also heard four times weekly on the
XM satellite network, though the perfomances are in a different order than below that XM determines.

Dana and Susan Robinson
Presenting  progressive sounds mixed with traditional sensibilities, Dana and Suzan have just released a stunning album, “ Big Mystery”.

Ellis Paul and Don Conoscenti
Ellis Paul remains one of the most active and successful singer-songwriters in the U.S., with songs adapted for television and film.  He is joined on this broadcast by the formidable talents of Don Conoscenti from Colorado.

Richard Gilewitz  ( new program)
From Tampa, Florida, Richard Gilewitz makes his mark across the country in workshops, concerts, and folk clubs.  An instrumentalist on 12 and 6 string guitar in the fashion of Leo Kottke, he uses offbeat humor and stories to introduce his truly innovative guitar works.

Bob Cheevers
A hard-hitting, cut to the bones kind of writer in the style of Steve Earle, Bob Cheevers brings a lifetime of touring, performing, and writing to his finely crafted songs.

Bob Zentz  (new)
A legendary folksinger and promoter of folk music from the Hampton Roads, Virginia area, Bob has 4 of his  published in the folk music “bible”, “Come For to Sing”.  He specializes in music of the waterways, but sings any good song that is worth the performing.

April 18
Casey Neill   ( program # 2)
Casey Neill is one of Portland, Oregon’s great exports, maintaining a bi-coastal series of concert dates on the west coast and New York City.  His songs, whether performed with a band or solo, always contain an interesting turn of phrase and powerful melodies.

Cabin Fever Northwest  (new)
From Bellingham, WA Tara Wolfe and Diane Boschler create an almost Carter family like
Sound, with their sweet voices and unassuming songs.  They remind us of the simple beauty
of the natural world and our families and are just a delight to hear.

The first of a two part series with one of the most influential people from the folk revival, who has continued to affect peoples lives in the years since with song and political conviction.  Peter rarely gives interviews;  this series is not to be missed, with him performing songs live with his son, Christopher, on stage and in the studio in Portland, Oregon.
